Nutrient-Dense Supplement Ingredients | True Grace

Intention and transparency.

We’re on a mission to regenerate people’s health through nutrient-dense supplements. We do this with intention and transparency.

We select ingredients that play a concrete role in true health, and we include them at effective doses—not just a sprinkling to pad the ingredients list. There’s no “kitchen sink” approach here.*

Intention and transparency

We’re tireless in our sourcing.

We partner with selected growers so we know who they are and how they grow.

We’re tireless in our sourcing. We’re tireless in our sourcing.

We choose nutrients your body can easily absorb.*

We start by identifying nutrients backed by both ancient medicinal systems and modern science. Then, we gather those nutrients in forms your body will recognize and utilize.

We get our vitamins from wholesome sources—think Vitamin D3 from lichen and Vitamin C from acerola berries, for example.

We use fermented minerals, along with amino acid chelates, which are more bioavailable - aka readily absorbed and easily digested.*

Ashwagandha

Ashwagandha, also known as Indian ginseng or winter cherry, has been one of the most important herbs in Ayurvedic medicine for thousands of years. Ashwagandha is an adaptogen: a special class of herbs that help the human body adapt to stress and support overall health and well-being.

We include Ashwagandha in all our multivitamins because the stress of modern living calls for more than just the vitamins and minerals you find in most multis; it calls for adaptogens.*

Ashwagandha

What it does

In addition to its long use in Ayurveda, Ashwagandha has more recently been supported by clinical trials for calming the nerves and supporting cognitive health.*

Where we get it

True Grace sources certified organic and regenerative adaptogenic herbs, including Ashwagandha, from one of the most experienced and diversified herb farms in North America. Why?

Regenerative farming methods increase the biodiversity and health of the soil. Healthy soil produces high-quality herbs.

Holy Basil

Also known as Tulsi, Holy Basil is a member of the mint family that has been used medicinally in India for more than 3,000 years. It is often referred to as “The Queen of Herbs” in Ayurveda. Holy Basil is an adaptogen: a special class of herbs that help the human body adapt to stress and support overall health and well-being. We include Holy Basil in all our multivitamins because the stress of modern living calls for more than just the vitamins and minerals you find in most multis; it calls for adaptogens.

Ashwagandha

What it does

In scientific literature, Holy Basil has been shown to decrease levels of the stress hormone cortisol. Lower levels of cortisol are associated with combatting stress and improving cognitive health.*

L.rhamnosus GG

  • Probiotics are live microorganisms that are intended to have health benefits when consumed.*
  • Probiotics are measured in “colony-forming units” (CFU).
  • Probiotics’ names have three parts, always in the same order: genus, then species, then strain. (Hence Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG—typically abbreviated as L.rhamnosus GG.)
  • Different probiotic strains offer different benefits. Those benefits are dose dependent.*
Ashwagandha

What it does

L.rhamnosus GG supports respiratory, intestinal, and digestive health, as well as liver and oral health.*

Where we get it

We get our L.rhamnosus GG from a team of globally recognized fermentation specialists who ensure it’s produced under high-quality conditions and is dairy free. Our L.rhamnosus GG is then combined with other rigorously researched probiotic strains at the doses shown to be effective in clinical studies. How can you tell? Just look at the label on any of our probiotic products. Every probiotic strain is listed, along with a percentage. That percentage shows exactly how much of the total CFU count is made up of that specific strain. (The total CFU at time of manufacture is 90 billion; the total CFU guaranteed at end of shelf life is 30 billion.) To offer you another layer of certainty, we use DNA testing to verify the presence of our 12 probiotic strains in every batch produced.*

Reishi

Reishi is a medicinal mushroom with a long history of use in Traditional Chinese Medicine—a system of medicine that’s been around for at least 23 centuries.

You can be sure you’re getting nutrient-dense Reishi extract whenever you purchase True Grace multivitamins. All our multis contain a specialized Organic Mushroom Blend, and all the mushroom extracts in these blends have been tested to ensure they match a unique “fingerprint” that’s on file for each mushroom variety, including Reishi.*

Ashwagandha

What it does

Reishi is renowned for the ways it supports healthy aging, including its ability to fight fatigue in those facing health challenges and to support a healthy immune system—largely thanks to the key bioactive compounds in mushrooms, beta glucans.*

Where we get it

True Grace uses certified organic Reishi mushrooms that are grown on logs on a farm. (Many other companies use mushrooms grown on grains in a lab.) Wood is nature’s “food” for mushrooms: it provides raw ingredients that mushrooms, including Reishi, transform into compounds that support your health.* We take these organic Reishi mushrooms and use a multi-step hot water extraction method to create a potent extract that’s full of beta glucans and other healthful compounds, with no grain fillers. This extract is easy for your body to absorb and use.* It also comes exclusively from the fruiting body: the stem, cap, and pores of each Reishi mushroom, which are more abundant in active compounds than the mushrooms’ mycelium (root-like strands).

Wild Alaskan Pollock

The Alaskan Pollock is a member of the cod family caught exclusively in Alaskan waters. Alaskan Pollock live a short life and do not bio-accumulate heavy metals and toxins the way older fish do.

That’s just one reason why wild Alaskan Pollock are the source of our fish oil.

Ashwagandha

What it does

The Alaskan Pollock and the concentrated fish oil it provides us contain the omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA: nutrients that support brain, heart, and immune health. EPA and DHA may also support joint health.*

Where we get it

We source Alaskan Pollock that have been freshly caught for human consumption in fisheries with a proven record of sustainable management (think minimal bycatch and no bottom trawling). Those fish then go to a family-owned and -operated refinery in the USA.

What do you get at the end of all this? Every True Grace Omega-3 Fish Oil softgel contains 2000 mg of AlaskOmega® triglyceride fish oil concentrate. The triglyceride form is highly bioavailable for optimal absorption. Studies support that the use of the triglyceride form leads to a greater increase of your omega-3 levels than forms like ethyl esters do.*

Plus, our fish oil is traceable back to the specific fishery it came from, so you can check that it meets strict standards for sustainability, including its impact on wild fish populations and their ecosystems.
